Father’s Day is rapidly approaching and you want to buy Dad something he’d really appreciate.  But he has pretty much everything and you’re scratching around for ideas.  So here’s the question – is he one of those foodie fathers who loves to cook?  If the answer is “yes” then we have some brilliant ideas for you from our range of kitchen knives and accessories.

Chef’s Knife

As the name suggests every aspiring chef should have one.  We have a number of different Chef Knives, and they are the go-to multi-purpose knife for countless tasks, including jointing meat as well as for slicing, dicing and chopping almost every food type. The edge of the blade is slightly curved so it will rock on a chopping board – the perfect way to cut.  Your dad is sure to use it every day and will be eternally grateful for one that’s of the highest quality!

Japanese Santoku Knife

The Santoku Knife is the Japanese equivalent of the western Chef’s Knife.  There are two main differences.  Firstly, the blade has hollows along either side which helps prevent cut food from sticking to the blade.  Secondly, it has a drop point which makes it easier to perform fine slicing work.  What’s with the name?  The literal translation is “three virtues” on account of the fact this style of knife is excellent for cutting fish, meat and vegetables – it’s super versatile and your dad will love it.
